Pineapple Nut Bread

2 C. flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 C. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 t. baking powder
2 T melted butter
1/2 t. salt
1 C. crushed pineapple not drained
1 C. raisins
1/2 C. chopped nuts
1 t. soda

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add raisins and nuts. Combine egg, vanilla, and shortening. Add to mixture. Dissolve soda in pineapple and add. Stir just until blended. Pour into greased 8x4x4 loaf pan and bake at 350 for about an hour.
